The New York Giants (2-0) and Dallas Cowboys (1-1) will square off on Monday night in a Week 3 matchup at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
The Giants opened the week as 2.5-point home favorites but that has dipped to -0.5 as of this writing.
With this matchup on tap, Giants Wire took the opportunity to hold a Q&A with Cowboys Wire managing editor KD Drummond.

Drummond: There’s always been a subsection of the fanbase that didn’t want to see Dak Prescott, and there’s another larger group that is totally dissatisfied with the way Dallas went about their offseason. Whichever clan those idiots belong to is irrelevant, it’s trash behavior.

Cooper Rush certainly doesn’t rattle. Physically there’s nothing he does that’s an improvement on Prescott and he’s probably less athletic than his backup Will Grier. But he seems to have an ability to stay calm under pressure and make his reads. We’ll see how much of that he has left.

Dalton Schultz is questionable but it would be shocking for me to see him play. Dallas’ backup TEs are two rookies and while Jake Ferguson looks like he could be a real player and Peyton Hendershot is intriguing, Monday night lights in the Big Apple is a tough ask to all of a sudden become integral. I’d imagine they aren’t much of the game plan.

I’ve spoken religiously how fans shouldn’t expect a 7-month post surgery WR to resemble what he’s been in the past, so my expectations are low. I will say though that even 50% of Michael Gallup is better than the tier of wideouts behind CeeDee Lamb and Noah Brown.

Pass-rush wise they are an impressive group, but there’s still an inability to stop the run there. Coincidentally, that’s what New York does best right now, so… but yeah Daniel Jones needs to add a couple extra layers of protection.
